NIALP project financed under Gulbenkian Digital Solutions Covid-19.
Gulbenkian Soluções Digitais – Covid-19. A Digital solution to promote public health. This initiative was launched by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and supported by EDP. There were nearly 300 applications, including universities, research centers, associations, and technology-based companies, and the Foundation has selected 19 projects. It is an honor to have been accepted as one of the selected 19 informative platforms. The Electronic platforms or apps to promote public health and mitigate the effects of the pandemic caused by the new coronavirus in Portugal.
Facilitate the integration and provision of healthcare with information about the disease to the Asian community, offering support in English, Nepalese, Hindi, Bengali, and Pakistani languages, through audio, video, and text messages. This is a digital platform dedicated to providing public health measures on the new coronavirus (COVID-19). The primary objective of the “COVID-19 PT” app is to promote public health and mitigate the impact of the pandemic caused by the novel coronavirus. Users of this app will have access to practical knowledge and insights on preventive measures of COVID-19, symptoms, risk factors, and complications. The app and all its contents, designs & trademarks are solely owned and controlled by NIALP -Intercultural Association Lisboa, Portugal.
The objective of this digital platform (COVID-19 PT) is to provide a public knowledge network on coronavirus (COVID-19), share innovative solutions, and elaborate specialized information in English, Nepali, Hindi, Bengali, and Urdu languages, with a focus on the South Asian community in Portugal. The total approved fund is € 9,500 (Nine thousand five hundred euros). The app will be freely accessible in the iPhone store and Android in English, Nepali, Hindi, Bengali, and Urdu. Furthermore, the users of this app (COVID 19 PT) will have access to fill a form indicate contact details (name, age, contact number, location, etc) along with other some common symptoms of COVID-19 (if he or she feels) and it will be voluntary. The available data will be accessible to the nearest health facilities for immediate further action.
