Today April 15, 2025 marks an unforgettable and proud milestone in the history of NIALP. Taking a significant step forward in the direction of empowering and integrating migrant communities living in Portugal, NIALP has successfully inaugurated the CLAIM (Centro Local de Apoio à Integração de Migrantes) center.
This center has been established through an official collaboration with AIMA – Agência para a Integração, Migrações e Asilo, a key governmental agency in Portugal responsible for policy-making and implementation in the areas of migration, immigration, and asylum. Through this partnership, the CLAIM center will provide migrants from various countries residing in Portugal with access to essential information, legal advice, and social support services.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Pedro Portugal Gaspar, President of AIMA, who officially inaugurated the center. His presence added a special significance to the event. In his speech, Dr. Gaspar praised NIALP’s contributions to the migrant community and expressed his belief that such partnerships will help make Portuguese society more inclusive and diverse.
The key objectives of the CLAIM center include:
